Welcoming a new child to your family is one of the most important moments in your life. There’s a lot on your mind and a lot on your to-do list, so use this page to help guide you through your Illumina benefits.
Review your options for taking a Leave of Absence to recover from childbirth and/or bond with your new child.
Remember to request your leave through The Larkin Company platform at least 30 days before your due date or placement date.
Welcoming a new child is a qualifying life event, which allows you to make updates to your Illumina benefits. Be sure to make any changes within 60 days of the child’s birth date or the date the child is placed in your home for adoption.
Consider these changes:
Go to Workday to make your changes. You must provide documentation confirming the effective date of the change. Acceptable documentation for a birth is the hospital birth record showing the baby’s date of birth. For adoption, provide a document showing the placement date.
If you adopted your child, complete the Adoption Assistance Request Form to receive financial support from Illumina (up to $5,000) for eligible expenses. Review the Adoption Assistance Policy for details.
Many discount programs, perks and office amenities are available in most locations. Learn more on the Employee Services Insider Page.
