Our medical plans are designed to help you take a proactive approach to health care, focusing on prevention and a healthy lifestyle. You can enroll yourself and your eligible dependents in medical coverage as a new hire, during Open Enrollment and after a qualifying life event.
All Illumina US employees have two plans available to them:
The Health Savings PPO comes with a tax-advantaged Health Savings Account (HSA) with a contribution from Illumina.

If you choose the Traditional PPO plan or Health Savings PPO, select providers from the Aetna network.
If you choose the Kaiser HMO, you must use Kaiser doctors and facilities. With the Quartz HMO, you may only visit physicians in the Quartz network. There is no out-of-network coverage.
The plans cover doctor visits, prescriptions, labs, radiology, hospital stays and surgeries, mental health care and other services. All plan options provide 100% coverage for preventive care, including annual physicals, recommended screenings, and vaccines. Progyny manages fertility treatment benefits.

Kaiser: Free video visits available during business hours through the Appointment Center on kp.org.
Quartz: Use the UW Health Care Anywhere app for on-demand video visits 24/7.
